System On a Chip
This integrated circuit holds many components of a computer-like CPU, Memory, and input/output ports. It incorporates processor cores, hardware logic, and peripherals and is connected by communication systems such as networks.SoCs are ubiquitous in mobile computing, such as smartphones, laptops, and tablet computers. They are also used in embedded systems like Wi-Fi routers. The digital watch is the first to combine a complete electronic system onto a single silicon chip called a System-On-Chip or SoC. It's being applied to the mainstream personal computer as of 2018.
There are three types of SoCs
SoCs construct around a microcontroller, and SoCs assemble around a microprocessor, often found in mobile phones; specialized application-specific integrated circuit SoCs are designed for specific applications that do not fit into the above two types.
