There are two types of Text tools - Paragraph Text and Artistic Text.

Paragraph Text tool

• Used for creating text frames or text objects by taking help of text tool properties.
• No text limit.
• You cannot apply other effects in paragraph text.

Artistic Text

• Used for creating short text lines such as headlines.
• There are text limitations and you cannot add more than 2 lines.
• You can effect but that too comes with limitations

Extract Sub-Path is used when you have two pieces of content, and you need to combine them into one piece. You need to click on the shape tool for editing the nodes of both content pieces and for creating a new piece from those two pieces. Clicking on nodes will select all nodes on that sub-path, and you will be able to move, scale or rotate them.

Knife Tool can be used to slice an object and split it into two separate objects such that both segments can be treated as single objects. You can also use the knife tool for creating a freehand cut line.

Create a fill dynamically by using markers in the property bar and drawing window for changing the angle, color and midpoint.

Texture Fill is used to apply preset texture fills to object for creating the illusion of a variety of textures.

Uniform Fill is used to choose a solid color for any object by using color palettes or color blends.

Mesh Fill is used to fill an object by blending colors arranged over a mesh grid.

Outline color is used to select the outline color by using color palettes and viewers.

Outline Pen fixes the outline properties such as thickness, shape, and type.

Here are some of the important tools:

Drop Shadow Tool: Used for applying shadows below or behind an object.

Distort Tool: Used for transforming an object by applying Push, Pull, Twister or Zipper effects.

Contour Tool: Used for applying concentric shapes that radiate in or out of an object.

Edit Anchor Tool used for modifying the anchor points of an object. Right-angle Round Connector Tool used for drawing a right angle with rounded corners for connecting objects.
